Watch Alex do a mini-cooking version of this, too! 😀 <3 EASY PALITAW Print Recipe Servings 8 Servings 8 EASY PALITAW Print Recipe Servings 8 Servings 8 Ingredients 2 cups glutinous rice flour 1 cup water 1/2 cup sugar I use brown sugar 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds 1 cup grated coconut 2 tsps ube flavor 2 tsps pandan flavor food color optional 1 pot boiling water to cook palitaw in Servings: Instructions Start to heat up your water to rolling boil. In a bowl, combine your toasted sesame seed and sugar. Set aside. Mix together the glutinous rice flour and water and knead to make a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 2. Put ube flavor in one half of the dough and pandan flavor in the other and knead again. You may put a few drops of food color for both. Divide, roll and shape your dough into palitaw shape. You would be using around 2 tablespoons dough each. Drop the shaped palitaw into the boiling water. Once it floats on top, the palitaw is ready. Scoop it out then drop and roll in the grated coconut. Serve with the sesame seed-sugar mixture.
