Filling
  1. Sauté garlic and onion.
  2. Add the peeled shrimps. Add the fish sauce, sweet potatoes and jicama. Cook until tender
  3. Add the tofu then green beans and carrots. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add the bean sprouts and cilantro, peanut butter. Add salt to taste. Cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat. Cool down before wrapping.
Soft wrapper
  1. Mix all ingredients for wrapper thoroughly.
  2. Prepare a non-stick lightly greased pan with oil or bitter.
  3. Pour in about 1/3 cup of wrapper mixture in the pan. Distribute the mixture evenly on the pan by tilting it.
  4. Cook over low-medium heat for 2 minutes or until the mixture becomes dry.
  5. Remove the cooked mixture using a spatula or a small turner.
  6. Place the wrapper into a plate. Set aside.
Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, and a dash of salt.
  3. Add the diluted cornstarch/tapioca starch. Cook until the sauce becomes thick and glossy.
How to wrap
  1. Place the wrapper in a plate then place a lettuce leaf in the middle top part of the wrapper.
  2. Spoon the filling and place over the the lettuce leaf.
  3. Wrap by folding the lower part first then fold the sides until the filling is sealed.
Recipe Notes

Pour over some sauce over the lumpia and garnish with some peanuts and minced garlic.
